Three was named best pay monthly network and best value for money carrier for pay as you go and pay monthly at last night’s uSwitch Mobile Awards, on a evening when it picked up an impressive six awards from the pool of 17 up for grabs, including three voted for by the public.The carrier proved just as much of a hit with our team of industry experts, with uSwitch Tech’s judging panel deeming it best high-street retailer, best for perks and freebies and best for mobile innovation.
O2 also won big, picking up three awards, namely: best PAYG network, best for network coverage and best for roaming.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, 4G first-mover EE was awarded the trophy for fastest network, along with best network for SIM-only deals.
And in news that won’t come as a shock to more cost-conscious consumers, self-styled people’s network giffgaff sealed the award for best value for money on PAYG deals, thanks to its flexible, generous goodybag tariffs and reward scheme for referring friends.
